How To Love Sales Blog


I remember in my earlier days I did not like selling. I would even say I was afraid of it. I loved helping people but selling to people... yeah, not so much.  

As you know selling is critical because without it you don’t have a business! 

We've all heard the saying, 'selling is serving' and even though you may logically know this is true sometimes people can still feel icky when selling. 

If that's you here's something that will help: 

You serve when you sell to people who truly are a match for your coaching. This is NOT about manipulating people into buying from you in any way, shape or form. 

Great sales happen when you outline what the need is, show people that you have the path and help guide them to the best decision for them. 

That's all that you're doing is helping those who are a good fit for you see that they are and allowing them to decide for themselves. 

To help you get even more excited for selling I want to invite you to take on these two exercises. 

They'll get you excited about sales and dare I say even have fun with it!! 


Sales exercise 1: 

Get a pen and paper out and think about all the people that you have worked with (it could be paid or unpaid experiences) and write down the following: 

  • Who they are
  • What their problem was
  • How you solved their problem
  • How they felt after you worked together 
  • How their life is better because of working with you

If they wrote you a testimonial go read them. How does it make you feel to know that you were able to help them achieve their goal? Swim in those warm and fuzzy feelings, really soak them in. 


Are you feeling proud of how far you and your clients have come?

Any time you are going to go sell I want you to go through that list and remember how amazing you are, how many people you’ve helped and say to yourself ‘this is too amazing for me not to put out there!’ That is the energy from which you want to be putting yourself out there.


Sales exercise 2: 

Next to your list in exercise 1, make a list of all the people that you have bought from. It could be a person or a company. You may be purchased a service, book or program. 

  • Think about what you learned;
  • What was your transformation; 
  • And write out why you happy to pay them!

List 3 to 5 people or companies. 

---> Then I want you to think about how you are going to be on so many people's lists!

That's what happens when you get cozy with selling!! :) Pretty awesome right? 


These are very simple exercises but they are powerful!


Look at your list every day. Bring that energy into every sales call. Remember how many people you’ve helped, how you helped them, how it made you feel and how it made them feel.

Also remember the people that you bought from who helped you and how grateful you are they put their offers out into the world. 


When you stay in this mindset and energy I promise people will notice and your sales will explode! Nothing can stop you, you can  build your coaching practice to whatever size that you want with a full roster of clients. If you want to have courses, memberships or a book deal it will be yours.


If you do these two exercises and look at the results faithfully selling will become easier faster... and even fun!


You are in this to serve others make a difference all in a JOYOUS and PROFITABLE way. You've got this!!
