Big Dreams Require Big Preparation
Wednesday January 27, 2021
Impatient with your results? Or lack thereof…?
As entrepreneurs, we want results... yesterday!
But you and I both know that growing a business doesn't happen overnight. We know that big dreams require big preparation.
One of the things that creates the most uncertainty as business owners is that we don't have a path laid out for us.
For example, if someone wanted to become a doctor, then they could figure out how many years it would take to complete their degrees and residencies before they become a doctor.
Therefore they know, in X years they will be a doctor.
But entrepreneurship isn't like that.
We set out on a dream, but we don't know what's going to happen.
There's no pathway that says... ‘if you do ABCDE you will be there in F years’.
It’s uncertain and so often, the time it really takes, brings a lot of entrepreneurs down because they underestimate the preparation time.

What Got You Here, Won't Get You There
Wednesday September 9, 2020
Recently, I moved homes and I have not moved with “stuff” in over 15 years because I have been travelling as a digital nomad or living in spaces already furnished.
So, moving presented an interesting opportunity because for the first time I had all the things that come with a home to move.
When I was packing I was asking myself ‘Do I really want or need this?’ and I ended up being able to part with a lot of things. Shoes, clothes and old business items were either recycled, sold, given away or worst case thrown out.
At the same time I was going through this process I had a coaching call with a client. On this call I had to remind them ‘What got you here, isn't going to get you to the next level and this is what needs to go.’

Don't Give Up!
Tuesday August 25, 2020
The other day I was sitting in my kitchen when I happened to look over at my bookshelf. Peeking out was a book that I hadn't looked at in awhile, so I picked it up and went through it.
While I was looking through it I thought about how grateful I was that I didn't quit my business when it was hard.
If I had, this book wouldn't exist.
