Branding and Marketing Strategies for Self-Help Coaches

You’re a coach, healer or transformational expert. You have big things to accomplish in this world. You have people to help, lives to change, and a difference to make.

You want to be 100% in control of your destiny. You want your business to fit your ideal lifestyle. You want to make your own rules, run your own schedule and work with awesome clients who make you pinch yourself everyday. Not to mention, you want to accomplish these amazing things all while making great money!

However, while you’ve clearly identified what you want, and you are putting yourself out there, you just aren’t getting the traction you really need.

You can’t seem to figure out where things are going wrong. You are taking webinars, doing trainings, and implementing what you’ve learned, but something is just not right.

You know you are ready for more; it’s time for you to shine and become a superstar in your niche.

That’s where I come in.

You need someone to help you refine, refocus, and get the abundant mindset necessary to breakthrough and get to what you really want.

Are you ready to begin our work together? Here’s how you’ll know:

  • You have a brand, website and marketing tools, but things aren’t coming together as you thought they would.
  • You’ve taken courses, you are part of online groups, you may have even been to some workshops, seminars and/or retreats, and you know you know a lot, but something is still amiss.
  • You know you are destined for this, you really do want it, and you are willing to do the work; you just need help figuring out what tweaks you need to make.
  • You know you still have some belief patterns that are holding you back.
  • You want someone to help you figure this out so you can get out of your own way and build your business to the capacity you know it can be.
  • You’re ready and willing to invest in yourself and your business to make it happen.
  • You know it’s your time!

In our work together, you will:

  • go deep into your beliefs. This is where the real work begins. Together we are going to discover what beliefs, values, rules and thought patterns you have that are holding you back. It’s time to break out of the lack mentality and move into abundance.
  • get real with money. Let’s take a look at your money from all angles and discover how you really feel about it. You’ll learn where it really comes from, how to set yourself up to receive more of it, and how to let abundance shower over you.
  • take a look at your current offerings, audience, and brand, and make any tweaks necessary to help you create awesome packages, products, and programs that will have your ideal clients excited to buy.
  • learn how to cultivate and build a tribe of people who love you and who can’t wait to buy from you. These people will support you and help you spread your message and get more clients.
  • get yourself out there in a big way. We will create a simple strategy to help you really put your message out into the world, so it gets noticed and helps you build your list, impact, and sales.

Here’s the thing that you need to know…

Being a great coach will only get you so far. You must understand how to market and sell yourself and how to manage a business in terms of time, systems, money, marketing, etc. As well, it is important to be able to learn how to detach yourself from your business so that you can be a great decision maker. Often times, especially in the beginning, coaches can become very emotionally attached to their business and the outcomes of its activities. This leads to bad business decisions and behaviours which tends to have them running cycles of over-extending themselves and not making enough money (can you relate)?

Even after growing up in an entrepreneurial family, (my father was a very successful entrepreneur and philanthropist and my brother currently runs several successful businesses), going to business school twice (undergrad and post grad), and working in the family business and in the corporate world, I still had SO MUCH to learn when I first became an entrepreneur back in 2008. I didn't know that what I didn't know was a lot. I’m still learning every single day. It never stops.

If you don’t have a business background or even if you do but you are new to this industry, you have a learning curve. Let that excite you instead of hinder you. No one can tell you how long it will take you to make X amount or to learn what you need to learn. The one thing that I can tell you is that if you want to move forward as fast as possible, then hiring a coach who has walked your path is one of the smartest decisions you can make.

Coaches waste a lot of time and money trying to figure things out on their own. It’s much faster and cost effective for you to learn from the best. This is the method that I employ when I am learning something new in my own business.

Lastly, remember that building a business is a marathon, not a sprint. You must build the right foundation in your business so that you can gain leverage as you go to each new level in your business and so you are prepared for the success that comes with it.

If it is time for you to gain leverage from coaching, fill out this questionnaire and then you will be contacted to set up a discovery call to see if we are the right match. I can’t wait to talk to you!

“I committed to the Invested Mama concept; shed the fear that had been holding me back, and within weeks everything began to change. Most importantly, my vision is now crystal clear and I finally feel like I’m doing what I was put here to do.”

Success Story PhotoJennifer and I began working together around the middle of March 2013 (Wow…has it really only been 10 months!?). I’m almost 40 years old (yikes!) and I have been gainfully employed in my industry for nearly 14 years. But, truthfully, I don’t think I really began my career until Jennifer and I began this process. The shift has been truly magical. I went from busily “doing” to strategically “progressing.” I’ve gone from striving for perfection in pursuit of others approval, to striving for excellence because I believe that I have value and a voice that needs to be heard. As Jennifer says, “It’s never just about the marketing.” How true.

As a financial advisor, I was trying to be all things to all people. I was being pulled in many different directions, both by a diverse group of clients and by several of my peers who thought they knew what was best for my future. I was a perpetual pleaser and I was afraid to say “no” to anyone or anything. Furthermore, I had fooled myself into believing that I could not afford to focus on any one type of client, but rather that the only way to build a successful financial planning practice was to take on any new client that came my way.

Jennifer encouraged me to think about the clients I truly enjoyed working with and why those particular clients gave me such satisfaction. She made me take stock of my strengths as well as my weaknesses and identify where my time was being wasted and what I was doing to create that reality. She has an amazing way of asking the questions that lead to true insight, letting you arrive at the answers that she probably already could see herself. She can be sneaky like that! She also forces you to challenge your assumptions and question why things have to be the way they are.

Successful people always say, “Live your passion.” The trouble with that little piece of advice is that no one ever tells you just how to go about doing it. Jennifer provided the instructions for me. Once she helped shine a light on a better way to move forward, it was impossible not to get excited about going down that road. Once I got clear about who I wanted to serve and how I was going to serve them, then I just had to get out of my own way.

I committed to the Invested Mama concept; shed the fear that had been holding me back, and within weeks everything began to change. Not only did I start attracting more of my ideal clients, but I was also approached to write a weekly article for our local newspaper on financial concepts. I’m about to launch a website and a weekly Invested Mama Minute series of online videos. My Facebook page has nearly hit 300 loyal fans and I have been invited more than once to give a keynote address on getting R.E.A.L. with your money. Most importantly, my vision is now crystal clear and I finally feel like I’m doing what I was put here to do.

Having Jennifer’s guidance, support and fearless attitude has been the difference between simply continuing to be busy and building a business that I am proud of each and every day. There is no doubt in my mind that I would be starting 2014 in a totally different place in both my life and in my business without the work we have done together. She has pushed me out of me comfort zone, held me accountable to my own potential and, for that, I am eternally grateful. And like she says, “We are really just getting started.” How awesome is that?
